My Ride: -04 530D
BMW Finland has set up a road show where they have M5/6 and new 3-series. Had to go to look. Here is some pictures.
Do someone knows what is that knop on the dashboard near the speaker?
Last picture is to show how full engine bay is and how little there is space engine to rock!

[/quote]It is a sensor used by the A/C system. One of the functions is to sense which direction the sun is shining from and adjust the A/C zones (driver vs. passenger side) accordingly.

[/quote]Yep. That's what it is. This sensor measures the intensity of the sun. It comes with advanced A/C on 5 and 6 series.

My Ride: #1: 2004 545i; 6-speed manual; Sport Package; Mystic Blue with a gray leather interior and Anthracite wood; CWP; Logic 7.
#2: 2010 535xi Touring; Automatic.
Is that modified center armrest, with the iDrive knob moved to the right, coming on all 5-ers? If it means more usable storage space in the center, it sounds good to me -- as long as the passenger's arm doesn't hit the iDrive all the time.
