It depends how you set your "M" button. If you set you "M" button with P500S, DSC Off, and S6, and you're driving around in "M" mode, then all you have do do is push the gear lever forward and floor it. Let go of the gear lever and away you go. Depending on your tires, pressure, etc, you'll get a variable amount of wheelspin. You can also just hit the gas in P500S and you'll burn a lot of rubber. You will have slightly better times if you have the stiffest EDC setting in sport, but it's not a mode I like to ride around in.

I always start off in S3, P400, DSC on, then when the oil temp has warmed up I hit the "M" button. If the weather is good, I'll turn off DSC and go to S6. If it's raining I'll keep S5 andd M dynamic mode so I don't get into big trouble.

Interestingly, I saw a 1.8 second 60' time posted by someone who started in P400 mode. The best 60' times I've seen in P500 have all been around 2 seconds. Trap times are running 116-118. The other thing is the US cars have charcoal filters installed that can be removed for a 10 RWHP gain. When somebody figures out how to get a 1.8 60' time in P500 mode, we'll see some high 11's or low 12's and 120 mph trapspeeds. They're getting them in Europe with real LC. I may get a G-Meter and start testing different launch techniques. I'll probably hit the strip late Spring and post some results.

They probably counted each button press. For example, it's like five or six to get to "S6" mode, plus the one for the "P500"...you get the idea...
Got it; thanks Rudy.

Very interesting. And, I think you are right about high 11's/low 12's being possible. I'll be very interested in seeing your g-meter results if you follow through. You certainly would be welcome to join in on the g-meter testing thread, but I would understand for sure if you would perfer to post your results in this forum. Good luck with your testing.

If I do get the g-meter, I'll definitely post results here.
