Now that BMW has confirmed the E61 Touring M5, do you think they will import it to North America? If so, do you think it will sell?

Will Americans really shell out 90-100k for a station wagon?? What about Canadians?

Seriously, if you were to consider an uber-wagon, why not get the X5 4.8is and save yourself about 10-15k?

I think it will do well in north america, just like the E55 wagon has. The X5 is a truck and a lot of people don't want to drive a truck.

Problem is, there is no E55 Wagon in the U.S. -- at least not anymore.

If I were buying an M5 and the M5 wagon was also available, it would be a difficult decision for me.
Right now, I'd probably lean toward the wagon.

I would get the 4.8i unless I had money to burn. We have a 4.4i and really love it. It's a great car for what it is intended to be--an SAV. I'd rather have a "real" M5 or an Alpina to go with either the 4.4 or the 4.8.

BMW won't bring an M5 E61 into the US.

Are you sure it will be sold anywhere? :-))
I mean, are we sure it will ever be produced?
