Which would you choose?

You could buy it for whatever suits your fancy -- daily driver, track darling, garage queen, etc.

Although I love the Z8, there's no question that I'd buy the M5...

M5 for me too. I just would perfer to have a luxury Eurocruiser. Four seats, all the comforts of home, trunk space, etc.

Is the Z8 as fast or faster than the E60 M5? Considering its engine was derived from the E39 M5....I don't think it would be faster. Besides, the Z8 costs more too. Only think I see in the Z8 that could eclipse the M5 would be the pimp factor which m5 would lack (I think)...

Z8 is not faster, but is pretty fast. Pimp factor for Z8?

M5, if I wanted the ultimate sport sedan. If I wanted a pure sports car, it wouldn't be a Z8...can you say Porsche!

Exactly...or the csl wich is my dream car.
And yes the only thing the z8 would surpass the m5 is the wow factor. I mean u don't get to see a z8 too often. At least where i live....i've seen only one. M5s already a bounch (5-6 already on the streets).
