Could be right, but .... the M5's cornering was just UGLY and he was the ONLY one trying to drift.

It still looked to me that he was playing - perhaps cause he knew he had the clear advantage on the straight bits?

The M3 CSL guy was itching to get past on the bends and as you rightly say the M5 kept getting in the way, but.......what it seemed to me was that the M5 (even badly driven) was holding off the CSL. Pretty impresive to me given the difference in size and weight.
Yes. That's what i tried to point out earlier. The fact that it had to drift (m5) if he didn't want to let the csl pass. The m5 has a certain limit where it can hold the ideal line on a track, a limit dictated by the power/torque AND weight. That limit is far greater on the M3 CSL so theonly way imo, to keep it's position was to start drifting while keeping the nose on the inside of the turn. That way the csl couldn't get passed by him, not on the exterioir of the turn wich was way too large, dodging the m5's ass also, and nor on the insider that was simply blocked by the nose of the m5. Even when he go, just mearly enough space to do it the m5 would come back and prove itself with the superior power/torque.
