Will you be paying MSRP or what?
How is the price going to be worked out?
The 645 has a $15k markup at Shelly BMW.
Will you be paying that markup as well?

I have a $1000.00 deposit at my dealer. I don't believe "The List" is too honest. If they have a long standing customer that wants the M5 ....we'll he's getting it before me. When it comes time for placing an order with options thats when you know it's your time.

They won't talk price right now. And I would not trust a dealer that was willing to talk about price right now, they just don't know.

The one thing I do know is that if I find out people are paying a $15K premium, I'll sell my spot, or take delivery and sell the car (after my euro delivery). A $15K premium is too much to pay to have the latest and greatest in my garage. I can wait.

$90k is a lot for a 645i. We'll see what happens with the M5. I think it might go crazy for awhile.

i personally think markup is equal to rip off . i understand it happens to rare cars but not a 645. it's something the dealers make themselves look better when they tell you they'll remove the markup. seems like they are giving you a big discount . i remember my 530 has a $5k markup but i didn't even care to look at that <_<. i'm not sure about the m5. can we do ed for a m5 and save money like other models ? if that's possible, i don't mind to do that. i'm sure the markup will be more than $15k if that's what they are asking for a 645. i still remember my dealer put a $100k markup when the z8 first came out .

With the MSRP, that's about three M5's and a 330.

I'll wait for the humble 550i and take one of those. The reality is that as sweet a car the M5 is, I live in Los Angeles and the opportunities to stretch her legs are few and far between.

When everyone owning an E60 now upgrades to an M5, there'll probably be quite a few nice, hardly used E60's available.

answer:
1) Yes!
2) My dealer only charges MSRP
3) Yes I know, God Bless Supply and Demand
4) No I never do, in fact I always get a discount despite the high demand.

Also

I do not have to put a deposit down.
I am that ?good customer? that jtxc is talking about (E60 M5 will be my 14th BM)
I?ve been on the waiting list for M5/M6 for the last 18 months (2nd on M5, 1st on M6)

Just some lessons learned being a bimmerphile.

cheers,

beewang
