This is a great shot and a race I've always wanted to see. It's one thing to read quarter-mile results in mags, but to actually see them lined up, as if racing against each other, is a much better alternative. More fun too.
But just to play along...I would guess the M5. No, wait! The E55, yeah...no, wait, wait, wait!!! The, uhh, theeee aaaahhhh....damn, I give up.
Just tell us already.

55 would have won. Among other things, it appears to be taking advantage of the rollout distance (or they are not yet staged).

Hey man, nuttin much. This race was this last Sunday in Valdosta, GA. One that I was planning to go to, but I had business and couldn't make it. I really wanted to see what my 545i was capable of.
Anyway, the car belongs to a guy w/ a screen name DerekFSU. He's somewhat famous in the MB forums as he loves to track his E55. He just took delivery of his M5 not to long ago and he was saying that the LC was not yet active (because of the low miles), and therefore he got killed by the E55 in the right lane.
I have not seen timeslips, but the E ran 12.5, pretty damn fast! The Bimmer was killed, let's leave it at that.

Haha I noticed that in the pic as well. They must have been still inching forward when the pic was taken.
