Yeah forget the warranty! but treat/babe your M5 very well and don't abuse such racing, reckless, etc... and do high-preventive maintenance that is the key for a longer life of the car.
Also be friendly with your BMW independent Repair Shop. I already have one and he gives me 50% of discounts on labours but my new M5 is cpo so I go the stealer for 2 more 2 years.

Yes, I asked the stealer about the common problem of the clutch wear on M5 and they replied me it depends because if you abuse it too much , obviously no warranty and also it may cover the warranty if it is due a nature issue so it depends how they inspect it. How do they inspect? all is in the ECU.... all is logged in the ECU everything when you drive... RPM, speed, changing transmission, etc like a black box... scary, eh?

But there is a trick for that... CHIP TUNERS!!! they can change the logs of the ECU.

I will take note of that because i do drive my car aggresively... I will have to start babying it more and more then.

Anyone know of a "CHIP TUNER" in the ONTARIO region for this ECU log reset???? I've never done a launch, but im in M mode about 80% of the time.

Why own a car if you cant drive it to its full potential

I will be looking into the warranties because I plan to dirve the shiit out of my car. I dont use the LC either but I do drive it hard.

So bottomline is the clutch isnt covered. Bummer.
Once again the Dealer talking Smack about shit they don't know!!! I'm really undecided on my M5 not sure which way to go and I haven't heard of any reasonable warranties.

I agree, We need to ask around and help each other out because stealers tend to tell some different views of the same warranty which makes it very unclear and when spending that much money, it should be very very clear on what is and what isnt covered.

Well im kinda fucked because my warranty expired a few weeks ago. The Steeler was going to push through this warranty even though i didnt do it at the correct time. But based on the information they have given me, i cant spend 4500CAN for a warranty that im going to be paying for items.

What the hell do i do?

Another thing is, they tell me that whenever there is a problem, i have to pay for it and then fight the warranty company (or consult with them) about getting paid for the work. I really dont know what to do here, and im afraid my time is running out, i probably have until the end of the week and thats it.

What to do...what to do...

You may want to try another dealer some of them will cover. They all handle this differently at least the one down here do.

Ok heres what I got from a Canadian warranty company (Lubrico) for an M5. Seems they have a number of levels of coverage but "Superior Protection" is probably best for M5

http://www.lubrico.com/coverage.html

I was specifically looking at the two options below. Seems pricing maybe a bit more reasonable but keep in mind its not BMW Stealerships, its Lubrico's approved vendors who would address any warranty issues.

1. Superior Protection 12 Months /20,000KMS
Including 5,000.00 per claim Liability and Power Equipment Plus
Total $1,299.00 Plus Tax

2. Same as above (24 Months/40,000KMS Total $1,679.00 Plus Tax
