this post is soo flawed, all the exhaust in the 1st eisenmann video is actually meistershaft GT2 xpipes and cans...

they are not eisenmann. they are produced by eisenhaus which is korean based (split off from eisenmann and started their own line)

everyone thought they were the same eisenmann at the time and got it all confused when they labeled their videos...

It is, the nicest sounding exhaust out there by far in my eyes. RPI is too throaty.

the real eisenmann is on boneheads m5 so those are the videos to go by for eisenmann race soundclips

the eisenmann race exhaust is not as raspy as the meistershaft either.

the meistershaft GT 2 is the F1 (raspy) sounding one in the first video you listed.

and heres your video of a full catless setup of the meistershaft GT

so my order is

1.)meistershaft GT
2.)eisenmann Race
3.)RPi as far as sound preference

btw the xpipe makes a nice difference outside and no difference inside the car. so its totally worth it! not any louder inside the car with it but getting rid of those resonators helps the sound so much outside. i had just section 3 then added section 2 and couldn't believe i didnt do it from the start cause i was afraid it would be too loud inside. well it def isnt at all. hell might even be quieter since all the sound is free to escape out the rear than under the car in the resonators lol

Someone please make a good video, or SOMETHING because the price points on RPI are way better then Eisenmann and i want NEW!

Thanks guys... and if anyone knows of an e60 RPI setup for sale, new or used.. let me know.. i know Weezy told me 2800 or something.. but WE'RE IN A RECESSION, c'mon! 2500! lol

Eisenmann2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoi8JWDGNWY (1:05 is INSANE)

RPI1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1XNY-WN7nk (too short!!!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUP0-zsIL38&NR=1 (bad sound quality)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJbZxnuZ20w&NR=1 (must be with headers, bc this one sounds just DIFFERENT!!!)

BTW: i am by no means chirping RPI, because i've heard nothing but good things!

Cheers!
Those Eisenmann videos (not the first) are of Ed (boneheads) M5 at one of my Meets a few years ago. Keep in mind that this is the Race version and also includes Headers, going all the way back. Yes, his car did sound insane (he is now the proud new owner of a 997 Turbo ).

However, that all being said, I'm probably the only M5 in the NYC area with RPI. I've attended many, many Meets and almost all the other members have Eisenmann or Meistershaft. I have to tell you that I get more compliments and better compliments than the Eisenmann guys. Even the Eisenman guys ask me about RPI, where I got, how it gives off that sound under load and why theirs doesn't. The first thing most people say to me is that my car sounds like a Ferrari or Lamborghini and that the Eisenmann is just loud and doesn't have much definition. Personally, I like that.

In the end, I think it's personal preference, but I have all 3 sections of RPI's set-up on my M5 and absolutely love it. It's pure sex.

I should also mention that prior to RPI, I had a Supersprint exhaust on my M5. It wasn't much better than stock, but then again, that was their street version, not race.

I highly recommend RPI.

Now here's my question to you Aartsy Fartsy - Is this thread decision going to take another year and many of the same posts or are you just going to pull the trigger and make a decision?!?!?!?!?!

Interesting...I would actually do the exact reverse order that you did above, but with a few changes. Again though, I think it's personal preference.

My order would be:

1. RPI
2. ASR
2. Meister
3. Eisenmann

PS - Ed's M5 also had headers. That changed the sound immensely. I drove his car before he did the headers and was behind him at many of the Meets after he did the headers and the difference in sound was night and day, in terms of decibel level.

This winter sucks! I'm so tired of it.

We definitely need to meet up. I'm sure I'll organize a Spring event, once the weather changes, but I could meet up with you one weekend this winter. I'm on the north shore of Nassau County, so just let me know.

Here is a video taken last year (I think it was last winter) of my car. Make sure you listen at the :45 second mark and on. Desktop speakers give a much better sense than laptop speakers.

We took this video just after having it installed on the car, so it wasn't completely broken in yet. Also, I had my winter wheels/tires (166's and Blizzaks) on there, so no launching. I only launch on my 20's. Hahaha!

You really have to hear the RPi exhaust in person. The vids really do not do it justice. Here are a couple of clips of my car vs an eisenmann exhaust.

I have the full meisterschaft system and I'm very happy with it. Honestly I like the way the RPI sounds better though. But if I had the RPI I'd probably like the meisterschaft better I've considered switching but I don't want to give up my carbon fiber tips. They both sound great though, you can't go wrong either way.
