To all of you having this issue, have you had your battery replaced recently?? Or car Jumped? Those two seem to be the culprits. I believe there is a fuse inside the USB HUB that gets blown. I've not had a chance to prove this but soon I will try to open the non functional usb hub and verify this.

The symptoms sounds exactly the same - I'll have to see if i can find one of the USB modules in the UK hopefully without having to go to the Stealer. Thanks Addy33. I'll follow up to confirm it worked! |
Well an update from me. Just checked, there is a fuse but it was NOT blown. Its a surface mount fuse. Another interesting titbit, the USB hub uses an ATMEL 43301-AU 4 Port Controller.
In any case, I am a bit at a loss since I don't have schematics but I have a general idea and all components seem to be functional. Maybe I'll replace the ATMEL chip as that seems to be the biggest thing on there. Good luck |
