I currently have a 545i and I've been dreaming to get an M5 in the near future.
Since reading all the negatives of owning an M, I'm thinking that I could just keep my 545i and buy an M for weekends and such.

Does anyone of you own a couple of 5's (M and non-M E6x's)? Any thoughts on those who went to this route?
Or is this a stupid idea?
Have you met DrLev99???

You rang? Does having 2 for two weeks count?

In fact, I am currently awaiting the truck to come pick up my 530xi...still sitting in my garage. I am going to have to meet some truck-driver in a K-mart parking lot at 8AM for him to load this sucker on. And I thought I had driven it for the last time! I thought he was coming to my house, but his truck can't fit on the suburb roads, which means I get one more drive for posterity. Adios, 530xi!

After a test drive and one day shy of getting it from a guy in Florida for 68K, I withdrew. No regrets, and while the e63 was very nice (everything my wife wanted), she was hoping for a more updated styling because she's actually liking the current BMW styling over the MB.

There you go, peer pressure . . . let me know some research. A client of mine just bought a CLS 550 (black) and it looks sharp from the side. I'm acutally going to wait for my wife to graduate in about a 1 1/2 year.

Hmm...why am I pushing Mercedes on you?? hahaha

The CLS only looks good with the AMG kit. The base model doesn't look to nice IMO.

Back to BMWs though, how about 6 series or M6? And why aren't we talking about M5 again??

Well, let me put my "psycho" hat on. You've got everything an M5 needs and wants(except for maybe a couple of turbos)

Are you the reason VT went to MB? Are you the MOLE?

OK, back to M5. You know when you want something different from an M5 but that it must have all the characteristics of an M5. That's what I'm feeling.
