I would have to say unless it's out of warranty, go for it! Oh yeah, one other problem, the pains you'll have from grinning ear to ear all the time you drive it!

They forgot to put "...previously owned by Freddy Krueger..."
Or Carrie Underwood's ex-BF?

I've searched the forum and not seen much on whether modely year 2006 M5's should generally be avoided, but based on the "first year" bugs sort of thing. I think ideally I would prefer 07 or 08, but the deals on the 06 cars are really amazing.

Anything to watch out for with 06 M5's...?

Thanks, as always....
No issues so far with my pre-owned '06. (Knock on wood)

If you can find a good deal, go for it.

Is there anyway to find out from VIN or mfg date if the car has been rebuilt by BMW? I bought a 06 M5 in Dec (production date was Jan 06), everything seems fine. But i'd like to know for peace of mind.

thanks

If by rebuilt you mean if the car was a lemon buy back and then rebuilt by BMW then the seller must disclose that info to you. I think it's also on the paperwork or title but I'm not sure.

Who the hell would do that to such a nice car?!?!

Almost looks like it vandalized by an ex-wife or ex-girl friend... knifing the seats, taking a hammer to the windows and hood....

So very sad!

Big Relief

didnt see that on the title or heard anything from the dealer about that. Well, if anything, the extended warranty that i bought will come in handy.

03/06 build - no problems what so ever. I think the price of these cars drops off quickly once the warranty ends...
