I tried to search a thread about it even in M5board.com... not found!
when the car goes below 80 km/h no beep..... after 80 km/h beep beep beep beep......... The speed limit is already setup to 150 km/h even I tried with no speed limit same beeping. too annoying... no engine light or no error / warnings on I-drive... everything if fine.... what would be???? or how to fix it?
it is too annoying!!!

I know that in the Idrive settings you can set a speed warning.... Adjusting it so it will chime when you exceed the limit that you have set..
Check it out, not exactly sure where it is.. but probably in the main information settings.

My Ride: 09 M5 (E60) Interlagos blue, Silverstone interior, with cold weather package. Adaptive Xenon headlamps and adaptive brake lights, hud, comfort access. Comfort seats, basically fully loaded.
well if the chimes are coming on after a certain speed usually it is the speed limit set in i drive, but u said you had already tested that out, unless it is defective. I would encourage you to disconnect the battery for 5 mins and reconnect and see if that solved the problem. If not then you have to look for the message whenever the beeps are heard. GL

The only time my cruise beeps is if I'm using the active cruise and the car feels it can't stop in time in time due to it detecting an object too close to me...

In the I-Drive, I did that: select Settings > Monitor > HUD > unselect Cruise Control. Then tested driving above 80 km/h no more beeping.... I don't know why... It may be weird but it is solved.
