There are very few cars like the M5, IMHO, I actually think the E60 M5 is in a league of its own. Its a very special car, 4 doors, F1 inspired V10, and never another one like it. With that said, I've driven my buddy's 997 C4S and his 997TT 6 speed with fabspeed exhaust. The Porsche's have very special feels to them, its odd, "magic feel" in BMW is awesome and unique, so is the feel in Porsche. Even though the 997 C4S is not as quick as the TT, it's driving characteristics are every bit as inspiring, on the track these cars are amazing. It's a tough decision really, me, given my income, expenses and responsibilities at this point, I'd stick with the M5. If you've got the cash, hey, you live once. I'll be seeing myself in a 997TT or GTR in a few years.

Yes, I agree Porsche has that "special" feel to it when you drive it... the connection between the driver and the road is very different and unique. Even the cheapie Boxster and Cayman have that feel.
