Watched 5th Gear on Five last night and they had Vikki racing the M5 against Tiff in the BMW Williams F1 car. VBH is no slouch when driving but she was still over 35 seconds down on Tiff in the BMW Williams!

It was a little bit different in real life ! The F1 had to do 3 laps of Rockingham Intl short circuit, VBH had to do 2 in the M5. So the gap was actually 1 lap & 35 seconds. Her best lap time was 2:06.9. I was racing there that day in the E30 (a measly 109bhp/tonne) - our best lap of the same circuit was 2:05.92.

So basically, forget the M5, buy an old shed instead - or an F1 car

Or kinda ruin an m5 by strippin' down the rear seats, rear side panels, electric gizmos to make it as much light as possible, change the tires to slicks or smth even, do some magic in the suspension, a rollcage maybe and then chipp it and do a 100% titanium full exhaust and then ...well smoke almost everything there is...
