This is my 1st post on here and wanted to know if any 1 knows or has the same issue as i do on my 2004 530i. when i accelerate my rpm fluctuate up and down. i am driving in regular D mode, when i drive in the DS mode makes the rpm fluctuate less but it still does. I did a transmission reset my holding down the accelerator for 30 seconds it did not seem to help though.

 

Could be a lot of things, I would recomend a cleaning for the fuel injectors.
You should go to the dealership.

Use good brand of gas -- I strongly belive SHELL GAS is the BEST avaliable.

You can try using the fuel injector cleaners but I dont think they would work for you. Like I said, there can be a tone of things from the battery to the fuel system.
