Wow, Indy Red looks soooo nice in those pics.

As for the exhaust note, the V10 in the M5 does not have a V8-like bellow. Rather, it sounds like a Formula 1 engine -- more of a ripping sound. I am always surprised at the exhaust note when I get behind a M5 -- sounds like its going to a race.

Looks sweeeeet.

As for the exhaust ... my recently-acquired M5 came with a Supersprint race exhaust (X-pipe and mufflers) - it sounds freakin' fantastic, but it's too loud. At cold start it sounds like Big Daddy Don Garlits' dragster, but once it warms up it burbles a very nice baritone at idle, and it registers more a a F1-like tone when you rip it past 6,000 rpm.

I'm either going to put the stock mid-pipe back on (with resonators) or get the Supersprint mid-pipe with resonators. I think that should make it sound just right: not race car loud but with more of a voice than stock.

So you may want to start with just the cans first to hear what that will sound like. Corsa may be a good choice too.

Looks great. I was hoping "Indianapolis Red M5 and a Friend" was a hot bikini clad model.
