I have a 545 SMG as well. The transmission is awesome, especially with a new clutch and flywheel plus after all the failed SMG parts that was replaced, it's now solid.

So I have done a few things.
Added 15mm spacers to the rear making the wheels 20x9.5 +3mm.
Drop/Fender roll/ and 285 rears will be in the next week

Trinity Auto front bumper installed. Kidney grill gloss sapphire metallic. Hood was stripped to metal and repainted. The oem paint clear coat fractured and failed. I have to do the roof when I install the side skirts and M5 rear in the spring.

I will post much better pics once I lower the car and roll the fenders.

What is your opinion on the black BMW roundel? I love it on the hood and trunk, but I think it breaks
up the flow of the wheels. I may look for a all silver center cap or put the Miro ones back on.

I have 07 550i with SMG transmission. Lowered on KWv2. So far no issue with SMG transmission at 70,000 miles. I have done a lot of different mods.

Rolled the fenders and cut the springs. Wait....What??? Yup, I cut a whopping half coil off and the car rides the exact same.

Thanks Bill109. It rubbed like crazy at stock height with the spacers. Now that we rolled the fenders I have room to go to 285mm wide tire as soon as this 245 wears out. Time for some donuts!
I am super happy that cutting a half coil gave me a 1/2" drop and the car rides just the same. It always bugged me the sport suspension sat low up front but had a jacked up look in the back.
