Oh, I completely agree. BMW+BMW doesn't really add up to Lexus. I'm really looking forward to being the only guy in Canada with this bumper. Probably not going to be ready for this years Bimmercruise a the end of August though.

I have to be honest, it does have similarities to the newer Lexus models, I think it lies between the headlights and the kidney grills(nostrils) of the car. Heres a pick of a newer Lexus for comparison.

As far as I know, the BMW brand has been and is the only regular daily driven make that has been rocking a 2 kidney grille since its existence. Probably dozens out there that might have something similar. But THAT is not one of them if you wanted to compare the cars. (if that's what you're comparing it to) That front grille area looks more like a VW's.

the comparison to the headlights is a TOTAL miss. Not even in the apples and oranges similarity

I'll give it to you on MAYBE the front end and thats really reaching for it. Only a cross-eyed person would really believe the two look like each other. The similarity they share is that they have 4 openings in the front. 2 large and 2 small, and if thats what we're going off of then Im sure the the BMW 1M looks like an aventador
