So i know that this has been discussed 8273492 times on the e60 forum but, all i can seem to find is power loss on our v8's with the quad setup. My question is, How about a single setup? And which route should i take...like which resonators should i take out or if any. My goal is to sound great (which magnaflow can do) and have no power loss... I have been thinking lately to just spend the money and go for dinan for PROVEN gains...but from the sound clips ive heard on the internet it doesnt sound great, good but not great. Also online at dinan the exhaust is $1299, but here in canada its around 1800 installed...So im up to any suggestions.
Thanks in advanced
oh and p.s. i get the magnaflow exhaust my cost for roughly $200 cnd, uninstalled

+1 for RPI... this is what I'm going with and they have shown proven gains as well... 11+ hp... More than Dinan's 6hp gain and a couple hundreds dollars less than Dinan as well. Also, it sounds much better than Dinan. PM joe@raceprecision for further details and pricing info. Also, watch all the clips pertaining to this exhaust and you will be as impressed as we all are...

Because of space, its my personal belief that a single sided exhaust will give the best performance and going quad would purley be for cosmetic reasons. Being known for performance if it makes no power we wouldn't make it. At best you can hope for the same performance as a single sided.
As RPI noted above ... go with the RPI exhaust

So I took into consideration what everyone responded but I went ahead and got the 14816 magnaflow installed today with 1 resonator delete. I must say that I'm really really happy with it. Under normal driving conditions it's not too loud just a little more rumble. But when I step into the throttle it sounds like a beast! So for now I am really happy.
