Samsung - 42" Class / 720p / 600Hz / Plasma HDTV

Sale: $624.99

i will probably go pick it up on sunday. I have a 42" RP LCD HDTV that i paid like 2K for 2 years ago
Samsungs are nice - my friend has a Samsung DLP with like a 70+ inch screen - that things is HUGE!!! But the picture is amazing. I've been sort of thinking about a projector for a while, but haven't really got the extra room in our not-so-ballin' one bedroom apt in Brooklyn hahaha so I guess, I'll just have to live with the ones I have so far. But Samsung is nice - you'll love it. The only thing, I guess you could've improved is get the 1080p for true HD picture - since you haven't picked it up yet, I'm assuming, you can still trade up a bit. But either way, its amazing - a little over 600 for a 42in plasma - we paid well over 2g's for the Panasonic 50 inch Vierra we have

eh. 1080 is useless for HD FiOS. My blu-ray/PS3 is in the living room anyway. this is just for the bedroom. 720 is "true HD" as "HDTV" refers to any screen that displays images in their native resolution. Because the majority, if not all cable/FiOS/HD Over the air/SAT is broadcast in 720p. Technically, a 720p broadcast will look worse on a 1080p television (in most cases). The only benifit to 1080p is watching Blu-Ray discs, but you may be sacraficing the quality of how your set displays HD broadcasts with whoever your service provider is.

didn't know that - always thought that FiOS is actually 1080p... oh well, it doesn't matter to me - I have cable anyway hahaha. But this might explain why my LCD performs so poorly compared to the Panasonic plasma - I have only the digital cable and the upconverting (but not Blue-Ray) DVD player on it... guess its time for me to go by another blue-ray player or a new PS3

As a cheaper alternative for getting yellow fogs, you could tint the lens yellow. I think there are some that are removable as well. Just an option to actually buying new bulbs and worrying about melting harnesses and housings..

Sorry for getting back on topic

Dammit, always the people with the on-topic crap! bahahaha

Yeah, I thought about tinting, but decided to just get the Hoen bulbs (you wouldn't believe the sh!tstorm brabus gave me on SMS after he found out I decided against HIDs Love you, John! - no not like that, but you're a great friend! ) because they came highly recommended and I don't have to mess with retrofitting the HIDs. I'm thinking if I am not completely satisfied with the Hoen Endurance bulbs, I'll just re-sell them (or return them) and cough up the cash for HID yellow fogs (yes, from brabusw209amg - best friggin' vendor I've ever dealt with, no BS btw). But for now, I just wanna get these in and see how they look.
