xi staggered wheels?

And yes, they may, in fact get undue stress from varying overall diameters between front and rear wheels.
However.
If you calculate your overall diameters and choose sizes accordingly, you should not have any issues. I say "should not" because basically, from all the members that have done it, evidence is unanimous that the setup will work without issues. But, of course, there's always the odd chance that your transfer case may start leaking - who knows?!
If above is insufficient evidence, then consider the fact that BMW offered (or offers? IDK) an OEM staggered setup as an upgrade - those were the 124s with Xi offsets.

I have the 530xi, I'm thinking of buying the 189 styles wheels 18" staggered set up, can I mount this set on on my XI without any problem? what do you guys think? will this set up damage anything?
- Front: 225/40/18 offset 34
