xi models wheels

My Ride: 2008 X6 xDrive 3.5
I've found that the offsets on my 530xi is different from the regular E60. (After I've purchased a set of Breyton rims for regular E60 but doesn't fit my car 
)
Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe wheels that can be fitted in a E46 can also be fitted on the E60 xi models which the offsets are 47mm and 43mm respectively. I've also found a thread on this site (Wheels size) saying that the MAXIMUM suggested wheels size is 18", is it true?
I now have 2 options: 18" BBS RG-R and 19" Racing Dynamic RD2. Assunimg I can use 19" wheels, which one is better?

I think you're right about the offset. It is quite difficult to find wheels that fit. I am trying to find wheels for my wife's xi. I like the BBS wheels that you are considering. They are not on the Tire Rack site (they show 17 size only in that wheel for the xi). Where did you find them?
Another alternative is OZ superleggera. They are available in 19 inch size as well.
My wife really likes the look of the OEM 19s on my E46 M3. I cannot find any wheel options for her car that have the same polished (not painted or even worse chromed) look. Any ideas?

ILC32, I have already decided to take the BBS RG-R instead of the Racing Dynamic. I found those rims here in Canada and I believe TireRack can order them for you in 18" if you request them to do so. I don't think you'll want to go above 18" as per the BMW recommendation (considering safety and warrany). I paid CAD$5840 (around US$5100) for the set with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. They will arrive in about 1 week but I wouldn't be putting them on until the winter ends which is around April.

It's a shame it is so hard to find wheels for the xi cars. There are so many options for the RWD models!

WAIT, you paid 5k for 18inch rims??????
I really really wish you would have emailed me earlier, I could have gotten you various other rims with the specific offset you needed at more than HALF the cost.

xexyus, I checked Tirerack and they sell the whole set including shipping around US$3800. And usually I have to pay around $800 import tax for custom so that will total up to US$4600. I now am paying $500 more because I want to avoid all the hassles and have the local wheel shop setup everything for me. I believe Tirerack's $3800 price tag is pretty reasonable already so........
But don't tell me anymore about your low price otherwise I'll get upset with myself 
And by the way, rims are usually 25% more expensive here in Canada than in US.

BBS is light and all oem rims for any BMWs are BBS
