will I need new shocks? or will the stockers be OK, at least for a little while?

It depends ... I'm on that spring and so far it's going into 3 years w/ almost 26K miles racked up on the stockers w/o any problem.

Whenever you are changing out the springs, it is highly recommended to change out your shocks as well.
The reason is twofold
First - it costs the same amount of labor hours to do just springs or to do both.
2nd - lowering springs are stiffer, and induce more wear/tear on the stock shocks...you might as well beef them up with aftermarket ones so they don't crap out on you.

i would definitely change out your shocks with springs...in the long run it's worth it not only with labor cost but in regards to performance...Mike from Acute is the man to deal with if you want to get proper pricing on Bilstein shocks...that's what i'm currently putting on my 530xi (Bilstein B8's with H&R springs)...if you have more questions, don't hesitate in contacting me

P.S. Mike where my shocks at?!? lol

coming. i had to ship them directly to my distributor instead of you to lock in the order. you should see them early next week for sure
