I need to know what I'll be facing if I order the Europe-only Bilsteins for my build-date Oct 2005 530Xi.

Anyone, who has this setup on their car (in Europe, or anywhere else), please let me know what was done to your car, how you like it and so forth. Most importantly, I'm looking to find out what springs you're using and how the ride is. Also looking for ANY know-how on the installation.

What is a "KBA number"? I'm looking at the Bilstein site and the part description makes a mention of a KBA number, which are 0005 174 and 0005 AHE - assuming that one is for fronts and other - rears, but don't know which is which

Thanks in advance, all!

PS my car will be running the Bilsteins with lowering H&R springs - I think they are H&R Sport model (will check when I get home).

Another PS: Any and all vendors are welcome to PM me. I know this is a non-US item, but I'm willing to go some extra distance to avoid the cost and noise issues of the coilovers.

Thanks Bro! Looks like I'll need it.

BTW, maybe you could tap into your HK connects on this for me?

Update:

got a quote from UK - under $1,100 USD shipped to the States.

The set that fits is the Bilstein B8.

Anyone Stateside want to jump on this, I can hook you up with the Vendor. I'm still looking for deals

I want the 335is when its CPO'd back from leases in a couple of years - everything else I like is either out of reach financially or extremely impossible to find. So for now, I'm keepin' the old E60

Bad news: I'll be bugging you about that headlight mod one of these days. BTW I think I've found what's been causing the condensation in my headlight - one of the clips on the rear bracket is broken, so when the engine heats up, it warms up the air around the headlight, which then leaks into the headlight and since it is hotter than the outside air, I get condensation. Looks like I need a new headlight Oh well, I'll keep at it and see what transpires anyways
