HI, Im new here!
I Have a 2005 BMW 530D Sport (In UK)
I want to convert my halogens to Xenon
Iv seen this kit on ebay which says it is specificaly for the E60 and no error messages on the idrive either:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=250068559000
Whats everyones opinion on this? I think I might get it with 8000k bulbs
And is glare really an issue as everyone says?
Thanks!!

Plenty of people who have replaced Xenons with HID. If they come with ballast circuitry, they will not give error messages in the OBC. Simply judging from the seller's eBay material, it seems a serious company, but I have no direct experience. http://www.hids4u.co.uk/ also gets good feedback on other UK BMW boards.
8000k bulbs - as the seller correctly points out - will provide the least amount of visible light, and will be only a little better than your halogens at lighting the road.
Glare IS a problem. Get a friend with xenon headlights to shine the full beam in your eyes, and see whether you like it.
That's why OEM xenons have a self-levelling device. I am not sure whether you would have street-legal lights without it, either.

If your car, does not have projector lenses, like real xenon headlights, I wouldn't recommend that you put xenons in them, because they will blind on coming traffic, and the shape of projection with xenon bulbs on halogen headlight looks really bad. You should just get BMW's OEM xenon headlight, with the projector lenses, you'll be much happier.
