Hey guys , I had a question about the head light bulb , the xenon hid.

I just spent a lot of money replacing the starter on my car and now the bulb went out. The dealer sells the bulb for 180.00 usd , i want to avoid that right now and buy it from ebay.

My question is. If I buy a D2S bulb for ebay how do I know what range my hids are , when you see 3000k , 4000k , 6000k and so on?
how do I know it's the same color?

i have D2S bulbs for sale for $80 shipped in 6000K or 8000K. I highly recommend 6000K for the whiteness and brightness. I also have matching HID fogs in 6000K as well.

you have to check your bulb first even if it says D2S, some members here have D1S inside so you have to check them first, and if i were you id get the 6000K the stock ones i think is 4700K,

it depends what color your looking for. because OEM are rated at 4700k, but 6k kelvin color is definitely the more popular color by far

the stock color actually gives off a off-yellowish whitish color. It's only during startup u see the blue and purple. Upgrade to 6000K and you'll never see the yellow and always white and different angles will show u different shades of white-blue etc.

Stock should be rated either 4300K or 4500K and depending on the life of the bulbs, the color temp actually goes up! It should go up 200K every couple years I believe but depends on how often ur headlights are on.

if your looking for blu-ish purple color, then mtec 9k d2s are the perfect match, not mtec 6k, mtec 6k will have a pure white output with a slight blue tint to it

John is on the moeny. The OEM headlamps' color do not closely match 6000K HID fogs. Hence I am swapping out my OEM headlights with 6000K headlights which should look much more white and (to my eyes) much more bright. I am not a fan of the yellowish color of the OEM headlights.
