I think the big question is: How long do they last? A few years ago I tried some Sylvania high K ultrabright bulbs (I don't remember the exact name) in my e39 and they burned out in less than a year of fairly infrequent use. Is there any sort of life length guarantee on these bulbs?

I've had my HOEN fogs on for about a month now. I love them. They're also $30! That's almost 1/3 the price of PIAA's!

Vafinest - Nice job on the lights. Glad I could help you out with the mod.

From the photo, it seems that at certain angles the headlights and fogs are different colour temperatures.

Could be a camera artefact.

Not sure what you mean...
the 2nd photo has the xenons on (outer lights)
the 3rd photo has the halogens on (inner lights)

Talking about the 2nd photo (where we are comparing xenon headlights to xenon fogs), do you see differences in colour temperature in that shot?

It's enough of an effect to be shown on my screen as the heads having a blue/white halo and the fogs having a rose-coloured halo...

"Real life" may not be an issue but only distant oncoming drivers would be able to tell. But hey, they're bright fogs.

Yeah they look almost purplish but again that could really be just the lighting.

I just ordered them and will post pics once I get em.

How long did you wait for them to arrive?

I have the PIAA 4150 on my car and have also tried the xenesis true match from bimmian. They both look better than stock, but I still see some blueish light. I really want ones that dont look blue because when you look at the xenons directly they look bright white. Before buying the PIAs and the xenesis I looked at some other members pics and didnt see any blue in the pics, but in real life they look different. How do these look in real life, any blueish tint?

Dan - I got mine in about 3 days. Was a perfect transaction. Took me about 30 minutes to install them too. There are great DIY instructions on the forum.
