Default wrong size Orion V4 for my e60 pre lci?

bought a set of orion v4 last year, finally have the guts to open up my headlight this weekend. after I cut it open and I place the orion v4 to test the size and find it is too small?

when I order it from Umnitza I did specify it is for e60 pre lci xenon.

can someone look at the pic and confirm I got the wrong size ae?

thx for the help guys

those are the correct sizes.

I only order those sizes for my custom builds for customers.

Those are the right rings. But they do however have another size. 9x rings instead of the ones you have which are 8x. But with the 9x rings, you'll have to modify the shroud and the lens won't fit without some effort. I had some trouble but managed to make it work. Personally love the way the bigger ring looks. They sent me the wrong size for my install. But turns out I like them better.

The smaller ring is much easier to install, and the fit is much closer to OEM. With 9x's you'll have to modify the existing housing too much (in my opinion) and up close, you can definitely tell the housing got hacked up if you know where to look.

You'll have to remove the shroud from the housing. There is a tab holding it next to the high beam. Cut that and the top of the shroud. The bottom 2 tabs, just pry it with a flathead screwdriver.

Once you finish that. You simply disassemble the components. When you glue the rings to the bezel. Make sure you get enough coverage and don't just use crazy glue. You don't want it coming off when you're done sealing it. Had to repair a set done by another installer recently where the rings fell off.

Glad you took care of that guy. Heard about the story. That guy sure went through a lot. Should've just gone through, you, me, or Chris in the first place.

He could've just taken legal action against that dude considering what he was put through.

Dinfung, you opened up the lights, thought it was the wrong size, and put the lights back together without doing anything to it??
