also you have a 2007 pre lci bmw why would your body shop install a lci headlight....

Yeah, just elaborating on TonyScoots. Putting on LCI headlight would actually be favorable for you, as they cost more and look better. Unfortunately, it does require a whole new harness, or spliced wiring, and coding as well. Highly doubt your shop would have "screwed" you like that.

OP why not take pic of the front of the headlight so everybody can see?
It's pretty easy to tell the difference bewteen pre-LCI and LCI headlight, even easier than using part numbers.
'cuz I think ... we as modders ... our educated guess is the proper (partly) p/n is the lower left corner of that sticker ... try search realoem.com for:

Got me mighty confused since I didn't know where to start looking for a good explanation and started to freak, as nomis_nech had correctly observed
.... If I had seen a similar part in the BMW LCI parts drawings like the OEM AEs that the Asian-looking dude in the YouTube video is pulling out of - what I now know is an LCI headlight - I would have relaxed much sooner I guess

Now this is what we call it , Customer satisfaction ,, as you said mistakes happens but it does make a big different how each supplier/seller handles their mistakes ...
