does anyone else have the 35% for the sides and 20% for the rear window. from mike's post it seems like that is a very good idea. im also thinking about going to the tint pros in HB. does anyone know how much this is gonna run me.

Check my gallery for pics of 35% on sides and 20 rear. It's very nice and same setup I'm running on my M3.

Personally, I have a tough time seeing through 20% at night sometimes..... especially if you are in a dark area. Just roll down your windows. Not all 20% look the same from THE INSIDE. It seems like Madico is a lot darker from the inside than other brands. MAybe it's just me. I'd go to one of the meets and sit in peoples cars if you are really curious. It really boils down to your intentions of tinting. If you don't want to be seen, but also not hassled by cops, 20. If you want it to look clean, block some light, but people will be able to see you, do 35.

HB Tint... ceramic tint should be roughly 400-450 and regular should be 350. Be sure to talk to them regarding the dot matrix and how you want to do it. I would also check out Rich's Tint. They use Madico, but his prices are good. I heard okay things regarding House of Tint as well.

I just got it done with 30% in front and 15% in rears. Looks good but i am a little hesitant with 5-0 since they are completely illegal on fronts in Jersey.

tint on the front windows is illegal where I'm from, so I went with the 35% on the front and the rear windows. But I also have the rear sun shades which I think goes really well with the 35% tint. the police don't seem to mind the 35% tint so far (knock on wood).

i still need to tint my windows also but im going to be adding a black roof to my AW...i want the rear window to flow nicely with the roof. is the 20% dark enough for the rear window to get that uniform look from a black roof or do i need to go darker. i plan on keeping the side windows at 35% but want to have the rear window darker because of the size and the black roof idea. and ideas, experience with this?

Thats what I was wondering. I lived there for 10 years and had 5% all the way around, but had FL tags I never got pulled over for it, but always got stares from CHP. I put 20% on my wife's car which had CA tags, and she got a fix-it ticket within 2 weeks.

I just ordered my new 535i Sport and wanted advice on window tint. My dealer carries Llumar Tint, and I wanted to know which type I should get and how dark I should go.

My car is Black Sapphire on Natural Brown. I'm debating whether to do 20%, 30% or 35%. I'm also considering doing the rear window darker - so 20% on the rear window, and maybe 35% on the rest. Any pics would be REALLY helpful.

Additionally which type of Llumar Tint should I get, I'm torn between the AXCESS tint and the PLATINUM PLUS. Any advice or pics would be welcome. I don't have NAV, but I do have a V1 Radar Detector, Bluetooth and Sirrius.

Thanks!
Matt.
