No such thing as too dark. Fat ass did 35% because he has a black interior. I did 20 on sides and 5 in rear, as I like it in the rear.

You like it in the rear? Good to know.

Only problem is that I think I went too dark at 35%. What do you guys have on your rides?

When you say you went too dark do you mean the physical look of the tint or the ability to see out at night?
I have 35% on mine and it seems perfect. It physically looks good and the night visibilty is very good.

Oh, and the tint shop in Great Neck is awesome. I used to go there with every car I've ever owned til this one. Joe is a good guy

Maybe from an appearance point of view, but from a legal point of view anything darker than about 30% is simply too dark. If you get into an accident (even if it is not your fault), you may have a fight on your hands if you have tint darker than the legal limit. Just fyi.

Polevaulter leaves the scene of his crimes. He never sticks around, so he's covered on that front.

I did 40%. it looks darker when the sun is hitting the car. best way to gauge it is to look through the car in the shade, or at night. 35% is fine IMO, I got 40 because Huper Optik came in 30% or 40% and I'm getting too old for 30% and night driving.

I'm also getting too old for the limo look as well... I had HO installed also: 50% front rollups, 40% rear rollups and rear window, and 30% sunroof. If/when I need more shading, I just pulled up the rear window shades.

Tint looks terrible on a 4 door sedan. Makes your car look like you are part of a car service fleet.

I went 5% on both the front and the back. While it looks great on my black car, it is WAY too dark (even for being in sunny Las Vegas).

I have 35% wish I went darker
