will these rims fit?

My Ride: Bmw 530i
hey,
i have a bmw 530i with sport package so they are the style 123 rim (18", 5 by 120 and 20 mm offset)
and im planning on buying the style 138 rim (17", 5 by 120 but i dont know the offset) and if they would fit?
the reason for this is to use it for a snow rim/tire package as somebody is offering it for sale...he says they came off a 535xi so im not too sure it would fit my 530i (non x)

138s are the stock rims that come on the 530s that do not have sport package. but those specific 138s, they will not fit since you mentioned they came off of a 535xi, the xi models have a much higher offset.

so it won't fit?, i assumed since they came off non-sport 530 or 525 then they would fit 530 sport package.....is the offset like 40 or something on the 535xi?
