I did search, but did not find an answer..

will 245 50R18 wheels/tires from a 745 fit on my 2006 550?

Oem size for 18" is 245 40R18 (to the best of my knowledge).

I am thinking the increased diameter might cause rubbing.

TIA

Tire size will fit perfectly fine however it really depends on the offset of the 7 series rims.

No, wheel ET's from a 745i are wrong, both E38 and E65.

I didn't even consider offsets might be different! oops

ET 20 for e60

and ET 24 for e65 and e66

So, the 4mm is enought to make them rub?

Thanks for the replies, it is very much appreciated?

Are you sure ? i have the same idear the ET messure is ET 15 i can se that som aftermarket wheels market 18" whhel in ET 15, si know thay will sit far out to the fender, but as long as it dosn?t stick out it will look great i think, but not if it sticks out.

Depends if you're in or about to be out...

Standard E60 wheels are 8x18 ET:20 with 245/40 tires.

I've got 745 wheels with an offset of ET:24. They fit fine and dont rub. Tires sizes 255/30/R20 front, and 295/25/R20 rear. You probably will have to do a lower series than 50 on the wheels, but not much.

Looks great but are thay 8,5" or 9" in the front ? thay looks like thay are close to the fender, and then 10" rear or ?
