I want to get the style 249 wheels on the 2009 650 sport package for my 2005 545i but want to know whether they will fit perfectly. I know the tires needs to be changed to match the 172 wheels on the 2009 550 sport package which I current have.

I asked the dealer and they said the offset is different and will not fit properly but might work with spacer? Therefore, if anyone here can share their experience will be appreciated.

You should buy the 249 from Arch M6, he's located in Manhattan

I was about to buy them but, we are having shipping issues. I may still buy them...it's a good deal.

If you do buy them I would be interested in your 172...if in excellent condition.

So far, no one can confirm if the 249 wheels will properly fit on my 2005 545i with or without the spacers for the rears.

But I am pretty sure the tires needs to be changed to 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear.

per realoem.com

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=36&fg=15

front and rear ET 14

ET 14 in rear should be good, no spacers...most put 10-12mm spacers with ET 28 (M5 offset) wheels without issues=>ET 18-16 after spacers...

I do know of a member that put the previous 650 wheels (flower power/121 wheel) on their e60 without a hitch....

249's are forged as well...nice...

Thank you for the compliment. I tried my best.

Maybe I should enjoy my 172s and stop looking the 249s......

Not sure about the 167s even thought they are very nice. I will get the 167s if I did not have the 172s. I fall in love with the 249s immediately I saw them on the 650i.....

both are 5 spoke, the 249"s IMO look like the 128's and 167's meshed together...

GL with your wheel search tho, 172's are good to go as well tho

I always love the 5 spoke wheels. The only thing I hate about the 172s is it is a pain when it comes to the time I need to clean them...

I had the HAMANN HM2 for my previous e39 540i 6 speed and still missing them.
