Will 08 Sirius work in sat prepped 04?

I was able to get a Sirius receiver from a 08 E60.
I have a Sat prepped 04 E60.
I was wondering if it will work if I install and get the software update at the dealer?
The Sirius recever is part number 65 12 6 987 545
