why did i get 2 diffusers with mtech kit?

My Ride: 2006 E60 525i
got to see my kit today and it has 2 diffuers. one with just the exhaust cut out and then another with the same exhaust cut out along with another hole in the center that also has a detachable cover as well. looks like a place for a license plate?
which diffuser do i use what is the 2nd one even for?
getting everything painted tommorrow so kinda need to know asap if possbile

just looked on realoem.com and it appears that the 2nd diffuser is for cars that have detachable tow hitches.
i should have thought of that lol
