Now, if only the seller would be willing to finance?
EDIT: ... wonder if it'd work with my transmission...

This is the guy on the forum selling the parted out car. He was asking $4k right now. When you think of how much alot of people spend on mods for performance this is actually pretty damn cheap if you were able to swap it. I wouldn't have the knoledge to tackle something like this. It should would be nice to upgrade my 525 engine though

I would think that there is no way BMW will honor the warranty on a crash engine.... especially in a different car than it belongs
Would be an interesting swap though
I know it's been done before on the forum.

For the price, I'd go with ESS supercharger for the e60. My problem with the engine that's on auction is its reliability. How bad was the accident and what might have been impacted inside the engine.
I agree that the $4k for a working engine is a damn good price tho.

I would go with the ESS as well but what ESS supercharger is around 4k? Im actually in the market for a Supercharger and either looking at the twin screw ESS or twin screw AA supercharger. The price is the only problem, if I can get them for about 30% lower I would get them in a heartbeat. I have many E60's that wanna try it out in my area and are extremely interested and they would buy the kit for sure. Its a good promotion, def. worth 30% off.
