It seems after doing research on this forum, that folks are of two opinions basically. Hamann quads with 90mm tips or RD Sport with 90mm tips. Too many people say the others are dummy or look fake. I noticed that the Hamann (which many people like) looks sorta fake to me too (seems like it needs a dummy oval behind it to match the left side.
Anyway, for me, this upgrade also comes down to how this all sounds in the end. I'd like to have a nice sound similar to the V8 M5...maybe even better but definitely not "red neck" or ridiculously loud. Could I get some help on likes to sounds, or actually people who've made conversions to dual exhaust and get your opinions? I have an Mtech kit already on my car that was port installed, so I will probably go with the Hamman diffuser or??? the M5 bumper. I personally don't really want my car to look like I'm totally knocking off the M5, and there is some merit in having the Hamann exhaust tips next to the Hamann diffuser from that standpoint. Let's have some chatter! Thanks

Supersprint makes the Hamann and RDSport quad exhaust. I haven't had a chance to hear the Hamann yet but I think it probably sounds just like the RDSport. I can tell you first hand that the RDSport is not loud at all. It's got a deep sound to it. No droning in the cabin while cruising unless you open up the throttle. I've noticed that I tend to stay in second and third gears a lot these days and have noticed that my mpg has decreased a bit. But, you know what? I don't care.

Yep. Supersprint makes both exhausts but the piping is different. I think you get a bit more flow with the RDSport if you also have the X-pipe. As far as sound, I have not heard the Hamann so I can't comment.

Would appear that this thread is biased toward RDSport since two owners of the RDSport quad exhaust (545/550 and M5) has chimed in.

Speaking of exhaust---I've run into some problems.

I wanted to get the Remus Dual Exhaust but unfortunately they don't make it for the M-Tech Aero Kit. The exhausts for it are for Quad Exhaust and the M5.

Does anybody know a work around or can offer a Dual Exhaust that will work with the M-Tech Aero Kit?

Thanks.

So Cal

Videos of these two exhausts are not hard to find.

This one is a 335, but I would imagine the exhaust would be similar sound.

I myself plan to go with the RDsport because it costs considerably less money and looks hot with the M5 rear.

Thanks Bro!

What is better for duals---Eisenmann or Remus? I love the sound of the Remus but haven't heard the Eisenmann.

Before I call Vincent---do you have a rough idea of cost?

Thanks.
