Thanks all for your responses. I think I have to probably stick with polished due to the fact that it compliments the white when it's clean.
Some of the pictures of the white on white didn't really inspire me, and I didn't see any 5 star styles in there, but I think polished is the way to go.
As for suspension, I'll probably have to go with some lowering -- Stock and 20" would make the back is so high: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=41930&hl=

I like the white rims awesome I have a white car also put I believe it?s a costly fashion which is staying for awhile then gone , the aluminum rims is remain forever

mirage, a white lip is do-able.. but an all white wheel to me looks tacky.. my 0.02......
idk. i feel like its like if you had a blue car and put blue rims on it.. just looks stupid.. like a honda..lol.. back in the days when you matched your sneakers to your shirt.. no big deal coordinating.. it looks good most of the time matching things up, but i think its overkill on a bmw... then again its your car, you drive it.. good luck with whatever you do
