Hi, I'm going to get the Trinity Mycarr AngelEye lamps but I want to also update the bulbs for the DRL/HighBeam lamps (closest to the grill) to something that matches the HID's.
Has anyone swapped these bulbs? What bulbs did you use? Any pics?
Trinity is suggesting "Cosmic White" Japanese bulbs.
Thanks for your input!
-Chris.

Hi Chris,
We have had a lot of success with the Xenesis Tru Match Bulbs which are a direct replacement for your DRLs and Fog Lights. They are a good match to the MyCarr units and your stock xenons to provide a more pure white light output.

I believe the DRL's use an H7 bulb... not sure about fog lamps. At any rate, I'm sure Xenesis or any other manufacturer makes a full line of bulbs that would fit any application.
I also understand that the HID upgrade I mentioned above will not work for DRL's because DRL's use reduced voltage to the high-beam lamps and would not provide the necessary voltage to the HID ballast for them to work properly.

The only problem i have with them is that the tips of the bulbs are blue so the drl housing reflects blue when they're off.

I have the comic white ones i got from trinity, not bad for the price. I doubt you are going to get any brighter because of the reduced voltage.
