My oil filter element is 8.xx USD at my BMW Center, after BMW CCA discount. I always buy my parts from their parts department. They are competitively priced and will meet any advertised prices for the same part numbers and competing BMW Centers' coupons. They want all available BMW consumer dollars, even those that would go to out-of-town sellers. Their BMW CCA part discounts also applies to in-shop service and labor. Since they are my exclusive parts and service provider, they are very good with follow-up service if anything is not completely right, and has also done some goodwill work as well. The use of late-model BMW loaners is also great customer service, if you're a car/driving enthusiast. Even spending a few dollars extra (price-wise) is a small price for the long term relationship with a good BMW Center. They will take care of you as a long term customer, whether it is selling new cars, CPO cars, parts or service.
