What is the real difference between OEM 166 or 167 wheels as compared to the replicas sold on Ebay, besides the price. I'm looking for 20" and it appears the fitment should be the same?

OEM 166s and 167s do not come in 20"s. I know of a member here that's running replica 167s that are 20"s. Not sure how he's doing with the wheels.

Big difference is quality and weight of wheel. OEM's don't have vibration problems and lighter compared to replicas. You might be lucky if you will not have vibration problems with replicas. It's a hit and miss.

From what I can gather, the look on our 525 w/o sport suspension would be better with 20's and lowering springs. I do not want to get into rolling the fenders, but it seems as though this setup will work just as good as 19's

Depends on the width of the 20s. If you run 10 or 9.5 you'll probably end up rubbing if you lower the car.

Hey you guys,

Just wanted to double check with everyone regarding these wheels. These are obviously replicas right?

http://www.autowerks.com/xcart/customer/pr...D=536163813c08f

They don't say replicas or anything, although they don't say they're style 166 either. So was just wondering what they are.

Thanks

Just by looking at the pictures, they're replicas. The price is a dead giveaway as well.

I have 525i 2006 w/o Sports suspension... I am thinking about M5 OEM 166 tooo... Let me know which route to go ... 19" is enough for me, but dont want to install any springs which would make more stiff ride than it is now... Am i better off doing the wheels NeRwEEzy has? 19" OEM 128s

NeRwEEzy - Do u have Sports suspension and did u have to install any Springs?

no i dont have sports suspension. and i did not install any springs, although i know that it would look so much better and more aggressive if i did.
