My Ride: Black 2006 530i Premium Package, Navigation, 18in OEM Wheels, Black Leather, Wood Grain Dash

I have been looking at wheels for a while now. There are so many options but I like the Miro 111s and the VMR v710s and v718s. Do they change the ride of the car (vibrations, pull, etc?) What are some other options I could look at. I like the 166s painted black but those are so hard to come by. Either way, I'd love to get some of your opinions. Thanks

What size wheels do you have on now? Going from 17" to 19" you would feel the ride is a little more bumpy. BTW, I've seen numerous threads in other forums that VMR paints flake relatively easily.

Oh...and Avant Garde wheels are pretty nice and around the same budget as your choices. Also Forgestar F14.

I'd be going from 18 to 19. I have seen some nice Avant Garde sets as well. My biggest concern will be the vibrations in the steering wheel. i want to stay away from that lol. Its ok if the ride is a little harder. I've dealt with the vibration before and it was frustrating.

If you stay within the tire specs for 19" BMW recommends, you should be fine. A lot of members here have upgraded their wheels (including myself) with no vibration issues. The main thing is to make sure that the new wheels are hub centric to avoid vibrations. Going from 18 to 19 you probably won't notice much of a difference in ride quality. I went from 17 to 20 and definitely noticed. Trinity Autosport and acuteperformance are trusted vendors on this forum. PM them, they'll take care of you.

I have the Miro 111's in 20" and no vibrations at all, As Balbs said, the main thing is to make sure the wheels are hubcentric and correct balancing.

UMICHCHRIS has a set of 166 painted black for sale I believe. He actually has 2 sets, one painted , one not. Look him up, he is always on the Forum LoL

THE BALANCING is so important...you would be surprised how many shops "think" they can properly balance a wheel on a BMW.

I have the OEM 166's, are u saying that bmw offers them in black now? If u want the standard silver u should not have a problem ordering them from one of the dealers that patronize cca members...and at a discount as well.
