Default Wheel spacers ?

Please tell me they are a bad idea if that's the case, or even if some would consider them dangerous....
I'd like to just do a few subtle things to my 520d msport.... Just to tweak it a little, nothing crass....

I'd like to add a lip spoiler and just offset the wheels out a little to bring them just out to the arches...... Adding a little beefier a look...

Has anyone done this, are they safe on a car such as this? Are they for rear wheels only ?
I've seen some decent quality ones at demon tweaks but don't know weather to go 15mm or 20mm?

Any one else Runnin on spacers?

I'm not gonna go for bigger alloys these Stock m sport alloys are big anyway...

i have 5mm in front and 12mm rears and never had a problem. Just make sure you quality brand with the extend lugs, not a cheap no name from ebay.

I got my front spacers from trinity autosport and the rears from Pyspeed.com

Thanks..... Yeah demon tweaks here in the UK is a proper reputable motor sport parts merchant...

Thanks for info... Would love to see a picture of your ride to show the wheels in relation to the arches, bet it looks great

ive ran 15mm and 20mm on a 535i with sport susp and 18" 124 style wheels. 15mm looks nice and doesnt rub. 20mm is flush (best) imo but will rub if you have rear passengers or go over train tracks etc.. You could have your fenders rolled and this would mostly rid of the rubbing.
