Hey everyone, I'm kind of new here but already I've learned a lot from you all and recently picked up a gem of a '04 545i

It came with a beautiful set of Hamann PG3's but they have a bad case of wheel rubbing on dips and bumps that's driving me crazy.

Wheel well rubbing is preventing me from driving the way I typically enjoy so unless I can fix it with some suspension work (it's on Eibach sportline springs) I might have to put them up FS or FT for a set of 19's. Driving like a grandma for now otherwise I think I'm going to need some dental work from grinding my teeth every time I hear it...

The fenders have already been rolled to accommodate the 20''s but any other suggestions on that issue would be greatly appreciated

Setup is as follows:

The tires are Nitto Extreme ZRs
Front: NT 555's 245/35 ZR 20 95W
Back: NT 555's 275/30 ZR 20 97W

Wheels are Hamann PG3
Front: 20x9.0
Back: 20x10.5

Springs: Eibach Sportline

Lowering front: 2.0in
Lowering back: 1.2in

I'm kind of new to all this stuff so I'm learning a lot as I go...
I think the Eibach springs might be lowering it a little too much for the size of the wheels, but I'm not sure what the best solution would be.

I realize these aren't the best pictures for the purpose but they're all I have at the moment

You should try Front: 245/30 and Rear: 275/25 since you have 20" rims.

MAybe you should check your shocks they maybe causing to bottom out other than that wheels offset because your tire size is what everyone around here runs so i think it maybe your shocks

edit:

if the rubbing is occurring in the front, it may actually be the plastic piece that is located between where the fender and the front bumper meet. you could try sanding that down, thats been an issue before and I had that problem personally. it did sound like metal but it was actually just that hard plastic piece.

Thanks for the feedback

Actually I'm pretty sure it is the plastic too, it sounds absolutely terrible and metallic but after taking a look at it I can tell there's a fair amount of wear and abrasion only on that. Slight damage to the right fender but it looks like the previous owner must have hit a bump while turning to do it.

Do you think if I were to swap back to stock springs it would solve the issue or are there any other shocks/springs that would be more appropriate for this setup?

Edit:
It does actually mostly occur on the front over bumps and dips however sometimes the back rubs too but only on unevenly banked turns or when traversing trenches or gutters when turning at intersections.
