I wish you could see the look on my face when i saw this. I experienced the EXACT same thing on my 525i and I thought I was going absolutely CRAZY. I've replaced wheels on several cars (mainly Japanese) and never had an issue where I couldn't get the wheel off of the hub when the lugs were off. I ended up using a rubber mallet (to the tires) and a lot of violently jerking the wheel/tire around trying to remove it (thank god for jack stands). I swap out the winter tires/wheels with my summer 166 setup so they no longer seize up when I try to remove em, but damn it was an experience. ....same exact thing with my Z4, but this time I knew what to expect.
