Speaking of anti-seize, where's the best place one can buy some? And what's the best way to apply it to the wheel hub?

My Ride: 2007 530i. Purchased 6/28/07. Titanium Silver Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, Dark Poplar Trim, Steptronic, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Bluetooth, Adaptive Control Xenons. 10/30/07 Added OEM 124s with 245/40/18 & 275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. I bought mine at Pep Boys or Auto Zone--it was a year ago and I go to both on occasion. I believe it was Permatex. Loctite also makes it. You can get it at any auto store--maybe even Wal-Mart--comes in a tube. (I've seen it in a small can with a brush, too.) I just squirted a few little beads on each hub and smeared it around with my finger for a thin, even coat. You don't need much since the excess will be squeezed out when you tighten the lugs. Just wipe it off and you're good to go.

be sure to use the wheel chock or bricks, so your $50K car doesn't roll and fall off the $5 jack

At least where the wheel makes direct contact.

It's funny...I used anti-seize on my spacers for my M5, and those suckers were totally stuck to the hub...had to destroy them to get them off. So, on my 550i I applied PLENTY of the stuff to both sides of the new H&R spacers and rotor/hub area, and now those are seized on too! WTF???

Personally, the stuff I got at Pepboys seemed to be too water soluble and was just melting off or being washed off after enough drives in the rain or car washes. Who knows?

My car came with locking bolts if yours did the key should be in your trunk. also wear tough boots cuz you may need to do some kicking to get the wheel off.
Don't worry about the tough boots just loosen lugs a little and lower jack back down, you will feel the wheel separate from hub.
