Wheel Locks
I am cheating spring and just put my new 166 wheels / Michelin PS2's on my 530. I am now thinking that I have about $750 sitting on each corner of the car waiting for someone to steal them from me as my car spends a lot of time parked at the airport.
Are wheel locks worth the money? I had these on my previous cars (and the wifes minivan) but someone convinced me they are easy to bypass. I understand a professional thief is going to get what he wants with the proper tools so how much peace of mind do these offer? Are some better than others (BMW vs. Gorilla vs. McGuard)?
Thanks,
Jeff

Test winners every year are the McGard Ultra, not the normal McGards (although they are good, too)
The McGard part number for the locks you need (Ultra) is 27179SL . without the SL they are the standard McGards. (or could have an SU at the end)
Test said that it took over 30 minutes to break the Ultras and required a lot of noise for those 30 minutes.
If you have spacers you need another part number with longer thread, but for just the wheels the 27179SL is the one.
