I saw these on the forums a while back while just roaming around:

They seem to be style 172s right? But where does one get that color? I believe the original thread said they were Shadow Chrome?

Essentially the question is, how do I get these wheels specifically?

They are ///M 172s , those look like the stock color to me but I'm sure someone else can confirm that ! The wheels are widely available, Garry at BMW of Newport RI has great deals for members here ....... check out his sticky in the parts and acc, section .

When I search M172 on google images I get things like this:

Could you link me a site where they have images of those on their individually/on another car?

That member was from South Africa. Yes he called them Shadow Chrome, but they are basically the same as Hyper Black.
By far the best looking 172's on the forum
You would have to get them custom done by the way.

Thanks for clearing that up! How would one go about getting this done? Go to a wheel paint shop and show them a picture or? How does that work?

But a powdercoat shop could achieve the same result given stock 172s and a picture of the ones in the OP? How do they go about getting that effect?

Im not exactly sure, but I think you would have to get them chromed and painted.
I dont know if you can achieve Hyper Black with powdercoating. Someone correct me if I wrong.

Check out this thread, particularly post 16. Very close to the look you want to achieve. The guy in the sweater is a PIMP!!
